Regional Sales Manager - Agricultural

Our client, a leading supplier of innovative agricultural solutions, is looking for a results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to oversee operations in the fertile region surrounding Paarl, Western Cape . This role is vital for driving sales growth and managing relationships within the agricultural community. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of farming practices, agricultural products, and a proven ability to lead a sales team to success.

You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, achieving regional targets, and fostering strong partnerships with farmers, cooperatives, and agricultural businesses. • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed regional sales targets for agricultural products and services in the Paarl area and surrounding districts.
• Manage, motivate, and lead a team of sales representatives, providing coaching, training, and performance management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including farmers, agricultural cooperatives, and distributors, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Identify new market opportunities and potential customers within the agricultural sector.
• Conduct market analysis to understand local agricultural trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
• Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior management.
• Oversee the implementation of marketing initiatives and promotional activities within the region.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant agricultural regulations.
• Collaborate with the product development and technical support teams to ensure client needs are met effectively.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management or a senior sales role within the agricultural sector.
• Proven track record of successfully meeting and exceeding sales targets in a regional capacity.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, crops, and the South African agricultural market, particularly in the Western Cape .
• Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, market analysis, and sales forecasting.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the designated sales region.
• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Afrikaans.
