Security Officers play an essential role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff members, visitors, contractors, and College property. The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling access to College premises, monitoring security procedures, protecting buildings and assets, recording security incidents, and ensuring compliance with established safety protocols.

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements before applying:
- Grade 10 Certificate (Standard 8)
- Basic Security Course qualification
- Basic Education and Training qualification
- At least one year of security‑related experience will be an added advantage
- Good physical fitness
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and after‑hours when required
- Ability to remain calm during emergency situations
- High level of honesty, integrity, and professionalism
Candidates who possess additional security experience within government departments, educational institutions, or public facilities may have an added advantage during the selection process.

The appointed Security Officer will perform various security functions to ensure the safety of College facilities and everyone on the premises.
- Perform access control at College entrances and exits
- Verify the identity of visitors before granting access
- Monitor staff, students, visitors, and contractors entering or leaving the premises
- Conduct regular patrols around buildings and College grounds
- Protect College property against theft, vandalism, and damage
- Monitor security equipment where applicable
- Ensure equipment, documents, and stores do not leave or enter the premises without proper authorisation
- Record all security incidents in occurrence books and security registers
- Respond to emergency situations according to prescribed procedures
- Assist during evacuations and emergency incidents
- Promote a safe working and learning environment
- Monitor compliance with security policies and procedures
- Support investigations where security incidents occur
- Work closely with College management and emergency services when required
