We are seeking a highly experienced and confident security professional to join our team as a 2IC Security Manager within a fast paced Distribution Centre environment.

This is a senior operational role suited to an individual with proven security management experience in a distribution centre, warehousing, logistics, or industrial environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the overall management of site security operations, leading security teams, mitigating risk, combating crime, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. We are looking for a strong leader who can think independently, communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, and perform confidently in a high pressure operational environment.

• Support the overall management of security operations within a high volume Distribution Centre environment
• Lead and manage security personnel to ensure operational excellence and compliance
• Implement effective crime prevention and risk mitigation strategies
• Manage security incidents, investigations, and escalations
• Conduct risk assessments, security inspections, and corrective action planning
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements and site procedures
• Manage guarding operations, access control, patrols, and search procedures
• Maintain accurate incident reporting and operational records
• Support and oversee control room operations, including CCTV monitoring and alarm management
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and key stakeholders
• Act decisively and professionally during emergencies and critical incidents

• Proven security management and leadership capability
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Assertive, confident, and able to make sound decisions under pressure
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to think proactively and identify potential risks before they escalte
• Excellent attention to detail and reporting ability
• Ability to operate effectively in a high volume, fast paced environment
• Professional presence when interacting with clients and senior management

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• PSIRA Grade A Registration
• Valid South African Driver's Licence Occupational Health and Safety qualification advantageous
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a security management or junior management role
• Proven experience within a Distribution Centre, warehousing, logistics, or industrial environment
• Experience managing security teams and client relationships
• Working knowledge of CCTV systems, control room operations, alarm monitoring, and general security technology
