Seeking a skilled Electrician for a permanent position to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensure safety compliance within industrial/mining plant settings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installation and Maintenance
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, wiring, and lighting within industrial plants.
  • Handle high-voltage systems, switch gear, transformers, and generators.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs
  • Diagnose electrical faults using testing devices (multimeters, meggers, oscilloscopes).
  • Repair or replace defective wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Conduct corrective maintenance on circuit breakers and safety circuits.
• Compliance and Safety
  • Adhere to National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA-70E, OSHA, and local regulations.
  • Implement Lockout/Tagout procedures during high-voltage switching.
  • Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and participate in safety programs.
• Technical Documentation
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Document maintenance activities and electrical measurements accurately.
• Team Collaboration and Training
  • Work closely with engineers, technicians, and plant operators.

Skills Required: PLC Programming & Troubleshooting, High Voltage Switching & Cable Repairs, Project Supervision, Safety Compliance, Experience in Mining (processing plants), Preventive Maintenance, Risk Management.

Additional Requirements:

• Medically fit.
• Able to speak, read & write Afrikaans & English fluently.
• No criminal record.
• Willing to travel between two sites.
• Willing to work overtime.
