Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Homeless Service at the Ashton View Project, West Dunbartonshire Council. We are seeking full-time Project Worker to join our dedicated team. Ashton View provides high-quality support to vulnerable individuals experiencing homelessness as they transition from temporary accommodation into permanent or other appropriate long-term housing.

As part of our team, you will build positive, professional relationships with the people we support, working alongside them to identify their strengths, aspirations, and goals. You will also support individuals to develop essential life skills and other abilities that promote independence, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.

This role involves working a combination of day shifts and night shifts, providing 24 hour support to residents. In recognition of the responsibilities associated with overnight working, enhanced payments are made for night shifts in addition to the basic salary.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a supportive and experienced team, contributing to the delivery of compassionate, person-centred and effective services for people experiencing homelessness.

This post is considered a Regulated Role with Children and Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

• Access to the Local Government pension scheme (LGPS) with an employer’s contribution of at least 19.3% and all associated benefits
