Social Development Practitioner

Our client is seeking an experienced Social Development Practitioner to join their team in Benoni . This role is central to implementing social programs and services aimed at improving the quality of life for individuals and families facing various social challenges. You will conduct assessments, provide support, and connect clients with appropriate resources and interventions. • Conduct comprehensive social assessments to identify client needs and challenges.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention and support plans.
• Provide counseling and guidance to clients on social issues, rights, and available services.
• Facilitate referrals to relevant government departments, NGOs, and community-based organizations.
• Advocate for clients' rights and ensure equitable access to social support systems.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case files and program documentation.

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) if applicable.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in social development or related field.
• Strong knowledge of social welfare legislation and policies.
• Excellent assessment, intervention, and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in working with diverse communities and navigating complex social issues in Benoni.
