About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in Android mobile development to join their dynamic team in Soweto . • Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin or Java.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create intuitive and visually appealing mobile interfaces.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Optimize application performance for speed, scalability, and responsiveness across various Android devices.
• Integrate mobile applications with backend services and APIs.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mobile application development, with a strong focus on Android.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java, with a deep understanding of the Android SDK.
• Experience with Android architecture components, Jetpack, and common libraries.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating with backend services.
• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and performance optimization techniques.
