About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced E-commerce Platform Developer to join their technical team in Nelspruit . This role is critical for building, maintaining, and enhancing our cutting-edge e-commerce website and related systems. You will work closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver robust, scalable, and user-friendly online shopping experiences. Key Responsibilities- Develop, test, and deploy new features and functionalities for our e-commerce platform using modern web technologies.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into fully functional, responsive web pages.
- Optimize website performance for speed, scalability, and security across all devices.
- Integrate third-party applications and services, such as payment gateways, shipping providers, and marketing tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance problems across the platform.
- Stay updated with emerging web technologies and e-commerce trends to propose and implement improvements.
- 4+ years of professional experience in web development, with a strong focus on e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, Shopify Plus, custom-built solutions).
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Vue/Angular) and back-end languages (e.g., PHP, Python, Node.js).
- Experience with database management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and API integrations.
- Solid understanding of web performance optimization techniques and security best practices.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
