Embedded Systems Electrical Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Systems Electrical Engineer to join their research and development team in Nelspruit . This role focuses on the design, development, and testing of embedded electrical systems that power innovative products. You will work on cutting-edge technologies, from hardware design to firmware integration, playing a key role in bringing new products to market. This position requires a strong aptitude for both hardware and software integration, attention to detail, and a passion for creating robust and efficient embedded solutions within a collaborative R&D environment.

• Design and develop custom PCB layouts and schematic diagrams for embedded systems.
• Integrate microcontrollers, sensors, and other electronic components into functional designs.
• Develop and debug firmware for embedded systems using C/C++ and other relevant languages.
• Perform hardware testing, validation, and bring-up of new designs.
• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues in embedded product development.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in embedded systems design and development.
• Proficiency in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence).
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ for embedded applications.
• Experience with microcontrollers, FPGAs, and common communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART).
• Familiarity with debugging tools and techniques for embedded hardware.
