Senior Mobile App Developer; iOS​/Android

Our client, a leading innovator in mobile technology solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mobile App Developer to join their vibrant team. This role, based in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, ZA , offers a hybrid work arrangement. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-quality native mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of mobile development paradigms, a passion for creating exceptional user experiences, and a proven ability to deliver robust and performant applications.

You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to bring innovative mobile features to life, contributing significantly to the company's mobile strategy.

• Develop native iOS and Android mobile applications from concept to launch.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using Swift/Objective-C for iOS and Kotlin/Java for Android.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
• Integrate with backend services and APIs.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and battery efficiency.
• Implement unit and integration tests to ensure application quality.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile development trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot and debug mobile application issues.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technology selection for mobile projects.

• Proven experience as a Senior Mobile App Developer with a strong portfolio of native iOS and Android applications.
• Expertise in Swift and the iOS SDK, or Kotlin/Java and the Android SDK.
• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and design patterns.
• Experience with consuming RESTful APIs and working with JSON data.
• Familiarity with mobile development best practices for performance and security.
• Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
• Experience with mobile analytics and crash reporting tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
