Job Summary:

We are seeking a responsible and experienced Driver with a valid Code 10 license and PDP to join our team. The Driver will be responsible for safely transporting goods to their destinations, adhering to all traffic laws and company regulations. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate a vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of up to 3,500 kg (Code 10) in accordance with all traffic laws and regulations.
Transport goods from one location to another, ensuring timely delivery and pick-up.
Load and unload cargo safely and securely, following proper procedures to prevent damage.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle, both inside and out.
Follow delivery schedules and routes as assigned by the supervisor or dispatcher.
Provide exceptional customer service and handling any inquiries or concerns.
Keep accurate records of deliveries, including logs of distances travelled, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur.
Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to the appropriate supervisor.
Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

Valid Code 10 driver's license with a valid PDP (Public Driving Permit).
Proven experience as a Driver in a similar role, preferably in a commercial or transportation environment.
Clean driving record with no major violations.
Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, as needed, travel outside of Gauteng from time to time.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kgs).
Comfortable sitting for extended periods.
Good vision and hearing to ensure safe driving.
