Operations Supervisor

42 hours per week | Rotating shifts (5 days out of
7)

We’re looking for an Operations Supervisor to support the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of bus services at our Maidstone depot. This is a hands‑on operational role where you’ll support drivers, manage daily service delivery, and respond to real‑time operational challenges.

• Act as the first point of contact for drivers throughout the operating day
• Manage day‑to‑day service delivery, including duty allocation and network control
• Respond to incidents such as service disruption, collisions, diversions, and passenger issues
• Promote a strong Health & Safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance
• Deliver driver briefings and support training, coaching, and performance standards
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and lost property processes
• Accurately record hours worked and support cost‑effective operations
• Contribute to daily KPI tracking and continuous improvement initiatives

• PCV licence
• Supervisory experience in an operational or people‑focused role
• Good understanding of Health & Safety
• Knowledge of the PCV/HGV industry
• Experience working with Trade Unions
• Strong communication, organisational, and decision‑making skills
• Confident IT user
• Flexible, resilient, and able to work under pressure

• First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
• Coaching or people development experience
