To maintain radio communication with road staff, prepare schedules, and keep an accurate daily log of all events, road operations, and client interactions.

• Maintain radio and telephone communication with vehicles to ensure their location and activities are known at all times.
• Ensure that all crews use the appropriate codes in radio transmissions.
• Confirm that emergency procedures are understood by vehicles and that correct protocols are followed.
• Maintain and accurately record a detailed daily log of all vehicle and third‑party movements, including blind‑radio spot notations, no‑service receipt numbers, standby situations, operational reminders, missed schedules, and unscheduled work.
• Contact clients to confirm when a “no service” is authorised and communicated to crews.
• Brief new road crews on specific details of their schedules to promote efficiency, courtesy, and safe driving practices.
• Keep emergency telephone numbers readily available within the branch's area of responsibility.
• Maintain up‑to‑date maps of the branch's operational areas to assist with schedule planning, re‑routing, and general information.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested or instructed by superiors, which support the company's interests.

• Participate in the design, development, review, implementation, and monitoring of branch, regional, and national safety plans annually.
• Engage in company safety forums, including meetings and talks.
• Report all safety incidents promptly to the appropriate personnel.
• Discuss safety incidents openly at all levels.
• Follow up on safety‑related actions assigned via meetings, committees, representatives, or management.
• Attend safety education and refresher programmes regularly.
• Comply with all workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Distribute safety information as required.
• Wear protective clothing at all times while on duty.

• Radio control operations
• Police, Military, or a minimum of two years' experience in the CIT field
• Formal CIT training
• Professional conduct
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Delivering excellent customer service
• Collaboration and teamwork
• Adaptability to changing circumstances

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Valid driving licence
• Professional Driving Permit (PDP) – branch‑specific requirement
• PSIRA Grade C plus CIT certification
