Location: Auckland Park

Our client, a well-established logistics and cargo company, is seeking a dedicated and reliable Cargo Handler to join their team in Kempton Park.
Contract Type: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Availability: Candidates must be available to start immediately.

Minimum Requirements

National Senior Certificate (Matric / NQF Level
4)
Valid Driver's Licence with PDP
Forklift driving experience will be advantageous
Previous warehouse or cargo handling experience will be advantageous
Physically fit and able to perform manual handling duties
Willingness to work extended hours, shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities

Receive, handle, load, and offload inbound and outbound cargo.
Ensure all cargo is handled in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
Scan and track cargo accurately using the required systems and equipment.
Verify cargo quantities and documentation before loading and dispatch.
Assist with sorting, staging, and storage of cargo within the warehouse.
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
Maintain a clean, safe, and secure working environment.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Assist with stock control and inventory management when required
Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
