About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and skilled Aircraft Mechanic specializing in Line Maintenance to join their team in Benoni . This role is crucial for ensuring the swift and safe turnaround of aircraft between flights, performing essential checks, minor repairs, and servicing. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, applying your technical expertise to maintain the operational readiness of the fleet.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, safety-conscious, and possess strong troubleshooting skills to quickly address any issues that arise during line operations.
- Perform pre-flight, transit, and post-flight aircraft inspections as per approved maintenance programs.
- Carry out minor maintenance tasks, servicing, and defect rectification during aircraft turnaround.
- Respond promptly to aircraft AOG (Aircraft On Ground) situations and perform necessary repairs.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all work performed on aircraft logbooks and maintenance records.
- Liaise with flight crew, operations, and engineering support to ensure effective communication regarding aircraft status.
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Mechanic, preferably with line maintenance experience.
- Hold relevant aviation maintenance certifications (e.g., SA-CAT Part 66).
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, powerplants, and airframes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and performing minor repairs on various aircraft types.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
