About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Long-Haul Truck Driver to undertake interprovincial transportation routes, primarily serving the Gauteng region and beyond. This role is crucial for the reliable movement of goods across significant distances, requiring a driver with exceptional endurance, navigational expertise, and a strong commitment to safety protocols. You will be responsible for operating heavy-duty trucks, managing long driving hours, and ensuring the secure delivery of cargo.

The ideal candidate is independent, self-disciplined, and experienced in long-distance hauling, contributing to the company's efficiency in national logistics and maintaining its reputation for dependable transport services across South Africa.

• Operate heavy-duty commercial vehicles for long-distance freight transportation.
• Plan and execute routes efficiently across various provinces, adhering to schedules.
• Conduct thorough inspections of the truck and trailer before, during, and after trips.
• Securely load and unload cargo, ensuring all goods are protected during transit.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery details.
• Adhere strictly to all national road safety regulations and company policies.

• Valid Code 14 driver's license with an up-to-date PDP.
• Minimum of 7 years of verifiable experience as a long-haul truck driver.
• Proven ability to handle long hours and extended periods away from home.
• Strong knowledge of national road networks and logistics best practices.
• Excellent driving record with no major violations.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report issues promptly.
