Logistics and Fleet Driver

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Logistics and Fleet Driver to contribute to their supply chain efficiency in Rustenburg . This role involves managing and executing local and regional transportation tasks, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products. You will be responsible for the operational readiness of company vehicles and maintaining high standards of delivery service. This position requires a blend of driving expertise and a proactive approach to logistics coordination within the North West province.

• Operate various fleet vehicles, from light vans to larger trucks, for cargo transport.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on vehicles as needed.
• Manage delivery schedules and optimize routes for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure all cargo is handled, secured, and delivered safely and without damage.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, fuel consumption, and vehicle servicing.
• Liaise with the logistics department to coordinate pickups, drop-offs, and fleet availability.

• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 driver's license with an up-to-date PDP.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in professional driving, with a focus on fleet operations.
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Sound knowledge of the Rustenburg and surrounding regional road networks.
• Capability to handle physical demands related to loading and unloading.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
