About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and professional Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Driver to join their dynamic logistics team in Vereeniging . This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation of goods across various industrial and commercial sites. You will be responsible for operating large commercial vehicles, maintaining strict adherence to delivery schedules, and upholding the highest standards of safety on the road.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of safe driving and a commitment to excellence, contributing to the robust supply chain operations within the Gauteng region.

• Operate an HGV (Code 14) vehicle safely and efficiently for regional deliveries.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to designated locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs.
• Properly load and secure cargo to prevent damage or shifting during transit.
• Maintain accurate driving logs, delivery records, and fuel consumption data.
• Adhere to all traffic regulations, company policies, and safety protocols.

• Valid Code 14 driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• Proven experience driving heavy goods vehicles, preferably in a similar capacity.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
• Strong understanding of regional routes and traffic laws.
• Ability to perform physical tasks related to cargo handling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with dispatch and clients.
