Flight Operations Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Flight Operations Officer to manage and coordinate flight schedules and operations from their base in Klerksdorp . You will be responsible for ensuring that all flights operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with aviation regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a strong understanding of flight planning, meteorology, and regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with pilots, maintenance crews, and ground staff to facilitate smooth flight operations.

• Develop and optimize flight plans, considering factors such as weather, air traffic, aircraft performance, and regulatory constraints.
• Monitor flight progress, make necessary adjustments to plans due to changing conditions, and communicate updates to relevant parties.
• Coordinate with air traffic control, airport authorities, and other operational departments.
• Ensure all flight documentation and logs are accurately maintained and compliant with aviation standards.
• Manage crew scheduling and duty time regulations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to operational disruptions and emergencies, implementing contingency plans effectively in Klerksdorp.

• Relevant qualification in Aviation Management, Flight Operations, or a related field.
• Experience in flight planning, dispatch, or flight operations coordination.
• Solid understanding of aviation regulations, meteorology, and navigation principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaset with diverse teams.
