Local Delivery Van Operator

Our client is seeking a dependable and responsible Local Delivery Van Operator to join their team in Vereeniging . This role is integral to ensuring that products are delivered efficiently and safely to customers throughout the Gauteng region. The ideal candidate will be punctual, possess excellent knowledge of local routes, and maintain a high standard of customer service. You will be responsible for operating a delivery van, managing your daily route effectively, and ensuring the goods you transport are handled with care.

• Operate a delivery van to transport and deliver goods to various customer locations within the specified region.
• Follow designated delivery routes and schedules accurately and efficiently.
• Load and unload packages, ensuring they are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Perform daily checks on the vehicle, including tire pressure, oil levels, and lights, reporting any issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and cargo area.
• Obtain signatures and confirm deliveries, updating delivery logs as required.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; a PDP is advantageous.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or van operator is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Vereeniging area and surrounding Gauteng routes.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying items.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers.
