Fleet Driver - Logistics & Distribution

Our client is seeking a responsible and experienced Fleet Driver to manage deliveries for their extensive logistics and distribution network, operating out of Vereeniging. This role involves driving various vehicles within the fleet to transport goods efficiently and safely across the Gauteng province. You will be responsible for maintaining vehicle logs, ensuring the security of goods, and adhering to all operational and safety standards.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized and reliable professional with a proven track record in fleet operations and a commitment to excellent service, contributing to the seamless flow of goods through the company's distribution channels.

• Operate various fleet vehicles (vans, light trucks) for scheduled deliveries and pick-ups.
• Ensure all goods are handled, secured, and delivered in optimal condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition.
• Perform basic vehicle checks and report any maintenance needs or operational issues promptly.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company operational procedures.
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery interactions.

• Valid driver's license (Code 10 preferred) with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a driver, preferably within a fleet or logistics environment.
• Familiarity with the Vereeniging and greater Gauteng road network.
• Ability to operate different types of vehicles and manage various delivery schedules.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping.
• Reliable and punctual with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
