Professional Code 14 Truck Driver

Our client is looking for a highly experienced and responsible Professional Code 14 Truck Driver to join their expanding transport division based in Benoni . This role involves the long-haul transportation of goods, requiring a commitment to safety, punctuality, and the professional handling of cargo. You will be responsible for operating heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring they are maintained in excellent working condition, and adhering to all driving regulations.

• Operate a Code 14 truck safely and efficiently for long-distance transportation of goods.
• Perform regular inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, tires, engine, and other critical components.
• Ensure all cargo is loaded, secured, and unloaded properly to prevent damage and comply with weight restrictions.
• Plan and navigate optimal routes to ensure timely deliveries, considering traffic, weather, and road conditions.
• Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, working hours, and delivery details.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations during operations.

• Valid Code 14 driver's license with an up-to-date PrDP.
• Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience as a long-haul truck driver.
• A clean driving record, free from major accidents or traffic violations.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting basic mechanical issues.
