Tractor-Trailer Driver - Interprovincial Routes

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations safely and efficiently for interprovincial and regional deliveries.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle and cargo.
• Secure cargo properly using appropriate equipment and techniques to prevent shifting or damage.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of driving hours, distances traveled, and delivery details using electronic logging devices.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Plan daily routes and ensure timely arrivals at destinations.
• Report any vehicle malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to the fleet maintenance department.
• Provide excellent customer service upon delivery and collection of goods.
• Manage fuel consumption and practice fuel-efficient driving techniques.

• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) and a heavy motor vehicle driver's license (Code 14/EC).
• Minimum of 4 years of verifiable experience driving tractor-trailers.
• A clean driving record with no major infringements or accidents.
• Proficiency in operating commercial vehicles equipped with manual and automatic transmissions.
• Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS navigation systems.
• Knowledge of South African road networks and transportation regulations.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and report issues effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as coupling/uncoupling trailers and securing loads.
• Must be based in or willing to commute to Vereeniging, Gauteng .
