Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine is a wholly owned subsidiary of Assore Limited, located in the Limpopo Province approximately 60 km from Lydenburg and 40 km from Burgersfort, and is a world‑class producer of chrome ore. The successful applicant will report to the Material Controller or a nominated supervisor.
- Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate.
- Certificate:
Store Keeping & Stock Control. - Code 08 (B) Driver’s Licence.
- Forklift Driver’s License.
- Advantageous:
Supervisory Certificate.
- 2 year’s Stores / Material Management in a plant / mining environment.
- Coordinate and supervise the issuing and receiving functions of the Stores section as well as housekeeping and preservation of the stock.
- Effectively solve and report queries related to the issuing sections. Generate reports regarding stock levels and un‑actioned pick slips.
- Support the receiving/issuing of the store section; monitor the availability of stock items for production needs; ensure correct storage and handling requirements according to procedures.
- Assist in coordinating the receiving/issuing of stock items, reconcile and update all issuing documentation, coordinate cycle counts, and minimize cycle count variances; reconcile physical balance with JDE balance for all stock; ensure effective financial controls are applied.
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Perform PTOs and issue‑based risk assessments as required.
- Ensure mine‑wide availability of fuel.
- Supervise own team’s activities whilst ensuring safe working practices.
- Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure good working relationships.
