Job Summary
  • The Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing and coordinating the receipt of incoming goods and materials in the warehouse, with a particular focus on electrical components and equipment. This role ensures that all deliveries are accurately logged, inspected, and stored in compliance with company standards and inventory procedures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of electrical components, tools, and materials.
  • Match delivery notes, packing slips, and purchase orders for accuracy and report discrepancies or damages.
  • Accurately input receiving data into inventory management systems (e.g., ERP or WMS).
  • Label and store received goods in appropriate warehouse locations following inventory and safety protocols.
  • Liaise with procurement, logistics, and quality control teams to resolve shipment issues.
  • Prepare receiving reports and maintain accurate records for auditing and inventory control purposes.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of fragile or hazardous electrical goods.
  • Support stocktakes and cycle counts as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
  • Assist with coordinating returns to vendors (RTV) and warranty claims.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or warehouse training is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a warehouse receiving or administrative role, preferably in an electrical or technical goods environment.
  • Familiarity with electrical parts and components (e.g., cables, breakers, fittings) is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move moderately heavy items (in accordance with safety regulations).
  • Forklift license (preferred but not mandatory).
