Job Summary The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for supporting all inbound, outbound, and inventory control activities within the warehouse environment. This role ensures the accurate receiving, inspection, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of parts while maintaining full traceability and compliance requirements. The incumbent is responsible for stock accuracy, timely processing of warehouse transactions, housekeeping standards, safety compliance, and assisting with collections and deliveries.
The role also supports stock counts, variance investigations, and standby duties as required to ensure efficient warehouse operations and customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming parts against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Conduct Data Dotting and ensure full traceability of all serialized parts.
- Accurately bin, pick, and pack stock according to system and dispatch requirements.
- Complete Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) within 24 hours of receipt.
- Support cycle counts, stock takes, and variance investigations.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in line with 5S and Health & Safety standards.
- Operate forklifts (where licensed) and assist with loading and unloading vehicles.
- Accurately capture and process all warehouse transactions within the system.
- Perform branch, dealer, and supplier collections and deliveries as required.
- Participate in parts standby duties during weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.

- Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)
- Minimum 5 years' warehouse experience, preferably within an automotive or parts environment.
- Valid forklift licence (advantageous).
