Warehouse Assistants

The Warehouse Assistant supports the efficient movement of parcels through the warehouse by ensuring accurate scanning, sorting, and dispatching of freight in line with company standards. This role is about precision and pace — maintaining accuracy while working in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment. As a key part of operations, the Warehouse Assistant ensures that every parcel is handled correctly, contributing directly to delivery timelines and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to perform consistently under pressure.

Ensure all parcels are scanned, sorted, and processed accurately in line with operational procedures. Apply correct destination details and ensure tracking stickers are completed accurately. Operate equipment such as SWAD machines where required and capture parcel data correctly. Record weights and dimensions for parcels that cannot be processed through automated systems. Verify inbound freight against manifests and ensure completeness. Prepare outbound freight accurately for linehaul dispatch.

Cleanliness is key, staff should have high standard of cleanliness at all times
-ensure the warehouse both inside and outside areas is kept clean, neat, and organised. Report all issues, incidents, or concerns directly to your designated supervisor as the first point of contact.

Sort parcels accurately to the correct destinations, routes, and areas. Ensure all re‑routed parcels are redirected to the appropriate locations. Confirm correct allocation of freight from the floor and conveyor systems. Conduct floor checks and flag discrepancies for follow‑up.

Follow all scanning, sorting, and operational procedures consistently. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational requirements.
