Warehouse Team Lead

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Team Lead to guide and support their operational team in Soweto . In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of a specific shift or section within the warehouse, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and accurately. You will act as a point of contact for your team, providing guidance, resolving issues, and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

This is a key role in maintaining operational standards and fostering team development within the warehouse.

• Supervise and direct the work of warehouse associates on a daily basis.
• Ensure all assigned tasks are completed accurately, safely, and on time.
• Provide training and coaching to team members on warehouse procedures and best practices.
• Monitor team performance and provide feedback to management.
• Assist in resolving operational issues and implementing solutions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment for the team.
• Contribute to inventory accuracy and efficient order fulfillment processes.

• Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment in Soweto .
