Operations Manager - Distribution

About the Role

Our client seeks a proactive and experienced Operations Manager with a specialization in distribution for their facility in Klerksdorp . This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the distribution center's operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, timely order fulfillment, and cost-effective logistics. You will lead a team dedicated to operational excellence, implement best practices in warehousing and distribution, and contribute to the overall supply chain efficiency of the organization.

• Oversee all daily activities within the distribution center, including receiving, warehousing, and shipping.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
• Ensure the efficient and timely processing of customer orders.
• Manage and develop the distribution team, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
• Implement and adhere to supply chain best practices and quality standards.
• Control operational costs and identify opportunities for cost savings in logistics and warehousing.

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse and distribution operations management.
• Proven experience in managing inventory control and order fulfillment processes.
• Strong understanding of logistics management systems and WMS software.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in a busy distribution hub in Klerksdorp .
