About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Warehouse Operations Manager to lead their primary distribution center in Klerksdorp . This on-site leadership role is responsible for the overall efficiency, safety, and productivity of the entire warehouse operation. You will manage a large team, oversee all inbound and outbound logistics, implement process improvements, and ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
Your ability to drive operational excellence and foster a positive work environment will be critical to the success of this vital function within our Logistics & Warehousing division.
- Oversee all daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, order picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
- Develop and execute strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
- Manage and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Implement and maintain robust inventory management systems and procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize stockouts.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
- Analyze operational data, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to optimize performance.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in warehouse management or operations.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large teams and complex warehouse operations.
- Strong understanding of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) , logistics, and supply chain best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements and cost reductions.
