About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Operations Supervisor to oversee their busy facility in Klerksdorp . This role is essential for managing the day-to-day activities within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. You will lead a team of warehouse personnel, ensuring operational efficiency, adherence to safety protocols, and accuracy in inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management and a commitment to driving productivity and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Manage inventory control, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping processes, to maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations to ensure a secure and hazard-free work environment.
- Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to the warehouse team.
- Liaise with other departments, such as logistics and procurement, to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a warehouse environment.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management systems, and logistics best practices.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and proficiency in relevant software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a team effectively and foster a positive work culture.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
