Materials Handler

Our client is seeking a dependable and efficient Materials Handler to join their busy warehouse operations in Benoni . This role is crucial for managing the flow of materials, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting production activities by timely delivery of components and packaging. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching materials using appropriate equipment and adhering to strict safety protocols.

The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong work ethic, contributing to the smooth operation of the logistics and supply chain within the manufacturing facility.

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and verify against purchase orders.
• Store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and inventory management.
• Pick and pack materials accurately for production orders and customer shipments.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using the company's Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and site procedures.

• Previous experience as a Materials Handler , warehouse assistant, or similar role.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment; valid certification is a plus.
• Good understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and using WMS software.
