PARTS DEPARTMENT CLERK

The parts department clerk will manage, organize, and issue heavy equipment parts, tools, and maintenance supplies for field mechanics and shop personnel.

• . Inventory Management:
  Track stock levels, log incoming shipments and conduct routine physical inventory counts.
• . Parts research:
  Search and issue parts from CPD inventory to customers. Identify correct original equipment manufacturer parts for heavy machinery using catalog, digital databases or physical insepctions. Will support all parts request for applicable BCC business units.
• . Ordering and Receiving:
  Place purchase orders with vendors, process incoming freight and stock warehouse shelves.
• . Technician Support:
  Issue parts to service work orders, handle counter requests and prioritize urgent machinery repairs.
• . Record Keeping:
  Maintain computerized inventory records, process invoices, and manage warranty or core returns.
• . Back up support for Parts Department Administrative Assistant as needed.

• . High school diploma or equivalent.
• . Basic understand of heavy construction equipment, automotive systems and inventory control software.
• . Must have the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, such as batteries, filter, equipment components.
• . Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills to coordinate smoothly with vendors, mechanics, co-workers, etc.
• . Must be able to work a fulltime schedule including weekends as needed.
