Receiving Clerk

Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join their busy warehouse operations in Vereeniging. This role is fundamental to the efficient functioning of the supply chain, ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately received, inspected, and documented. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be physically capable of handling warehouse tasks, and possess the organizational skills needed to manage incoming inventory effectively within the Gauteng region.

• Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping documents.
• Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
• Identify and report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies in received shipments.
• Organize and stage received goods for transfer to appropriate storage locations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.

• Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or similar role, preferably in Logistics & Warehousing.
• Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving goods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Familiarity with standard warehouse equipment and safety procedures in Vereeniging.
