Store Manager, Distribution​/ General Warehouse

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Store Manager to oversee the efficient operation of our store's function. The successful candidate will be responsible for inventory control, stock management, receiving and dispatch activities, housekeeping, staff supervision and ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures.

• Manage all store operations, including receiving, issuing, storage, and dispatch of materials.
• Ensure accurate inventory levels through regular stock counts and stock reconciliations.
• Maintain optimal stock levels and coordinate replenishment requests.
• Monitor and control slow-moving, obsolete, and excess stock.
• Ensure all inventory transactions are accurately captured in the ERP/system.
• Supervise and develop store personnel to achieve departmental objectives.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety within the warehouse and stores environment.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Investigate and resolve stock variances and discrepancies.
• Generate and analyse stock reports and key performance indicators.
• Liaise with Procurement, Production, Maintenance, and other departments regarding inventory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the stores and warehouse function.

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a warehouse/store's environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Sound knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong leadership, planning, and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver's licence.
