Warehouse Operative Supervisor

Our client, a rapidly expanding e-commerce fulfillment center, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Operative Supervisor to oversee a team of warehouse staff in Klerksdorp, North West
. This role is critical for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching orders. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of warehouse operations, and a commitment to safety and productivity. You will be responsible for motivating your team, managing workloads, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Supervise and guide a team of warehouse operatives, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, order picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor team performance, providing feedback, training, and motivation to achieve targets.
• Conduct regular checks on equipment and warehouse facilities, reporting any issues or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of goods received and dispatched, and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures within the warehouse team.
• Assist in resolving operational issues and addressing staff concerns promptly.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of warehouse processes and efficiency.
• Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Demonstrable understanding of warehouse operations, including picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in a warehouse setting.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) is an advantage.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Klerksdorp, North West
  .
