Warehouse Assistant Manager - Klerksdorp Operations

This role is pivotal in assisting the Warehouse Manager with the day-to-day running of the warehouse, focusing on inventory accuracy, team supervision, and operational efficiency. • Assist the Warehouse Manager in overseeing all warehouse activities and staff.
• Supervise warehouse teams during shifts, ensuring productivity and adherence to procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock takes, and ensure accuracy of records.
• Support in the implementation of warehouse safety protocols and ensure compliance.
• Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
• Train and mentor warehouse staff, providing guidance and feedback.
• Help to manage operational costs and identify areas for efficiency improvements.
• Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and meets all safety standards.
• Assist with the scheduling of warehouse staff and manage shift handovers.

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment, with some supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and WMS.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Basic understanding of health and safety in a warehouse context.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with computer systems relevant to warehouse management.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
• Must be reliable and detail-oriented.
• Located in or able to commute to Klerksdorp.
