Warehouse Supervisor - Day Shift

Our client, a prominent retail distribution center, is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee their day-to-day operations in Benoni, Gauteng
. This critical role ensures the efficient and safe execution of all warehouse functions, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping. You will lead a team of warehouse operatives, focusing on productivity, accuracy, and adherence to company standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This is a key position within our client's operations, contributing directly to customer satisfaction in the Benoni, Gauteng region.

• Supervise and manage the daily activities of warehouse staff, ensuring all operational goals are met.
• Oversee the receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations in Benoni, Gauteng

• Implement operational policies and procedures to optimize warehouse efficiency and productivity.
• Train new warehouse employees and provide ongoing coaching to existing staff.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment, promoting adherence to all health and safety regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels and accuracy, conducting regular checks and resolving discrepancies.
• Manage the scheduling and allocation of staff resources to meet operational demands.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as transport and procurement, to ensure seamless workflow.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational performance.

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Solid understanding of warehouse management procedures and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train and motivate a team to achieve high performance standards.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer applications.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions.
• Familiarity with the Benoni, Gauteng industrial area is beneficial.
