- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD
- Supporting pupils with communication, sensory needs and emotional regulation
- Using autism-specific strategies such as visual timetables, now/next boards and structured routines
- Supporting inclusion within the classroom and during transitions
- Working closely with class teachers, SENCO and external professionals
- Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement in learning
- Proven experience supporting children with ASD in a school or specialist setting
- Good understanding of autism-informed approaches and behaviour support strategies
- Calm, patient and resilient with a nurturing approach
- Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
- SEN qualifications or additional autism training is desirable (but not essential)
- A supportive and experienced SEN team
- Access to specialist ASD resources and training
- Strong senior leadership with a focus on staff wellbeing
- A welcoming, inclusive school community
