SEN Teaching Assistant

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Southall is seeking a dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD
• Supporting pupils with communication, sensory needs and emotional regulation
• Using autism-specific strategies such as visual timetables, now/next boards and structured routines
• Supporting inclusion within the classroom and during transitions
• Working closely with class teachers, SENCO and external professionals
• Encouraging independence, confidence and engagement in learning

• Proven experience supporting children with ASD in a school or specialist setting
• Good understanding of autism-informed approaches and behaviour support strategies
• Calm, patient and resilient with a nurturing approach
• Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
• SEN qualifications or additional autism training is desirable (but not essential)
