About the role

GSL Education is working in partnership with a secondary school seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher for a long-term position starting in September 2026.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Food Technology up to KS4, with some Design & Technology teaching at KS3.

Responsibilities and qualifications

The successful candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
Have experience teaching Food Technology up to Key Stage 4.
Have experience teaching Design & Technology at Key Stage 3.
Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
Deliver engaging, practical lessons that motivate learners.
Be committed to achieving positive outcomes for all students.

This role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
