of Department for Drama – Responsibilities
- Teach Drama to Key Stages 3 & 4
- Lead the development of resources, syllabuses, schemes of work, marking policies, assessment, teaching, and learning strategies for the department
- Support the leadership team in achieving agreed goals for the department
- Promote the school's visions, values, and ethos
- Contribute to maintaining and elevating standards across the academy
- Stay updated with national teaching practices and department‑specific developments
- Contribute to broader school activities
- Manage and lead the department's planning
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Strategically plan for key transition areas
- Be accountable and contribute to other areas, including recruitment, exam entries, budget monitoring, performance evaluation, and development
- Be committed to enhancing outcomes for all students
- Be an outstanding classroom teacher
- Possess excellent leadership skills
- Have the ability to develop and motivate students and staff to raise expectations
- Be innovative and creative in teaching practices
- Demonstrate a strong passion for learning and teaching
