We are looking for an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic team working within Acute Mental Health units in Southall. This exciting opportunity is perfect for someone eager to make a real difference in the lives of individuals across our inpatient units, focusing on improving physical health outcomes through the treatment of dysphagia and communication disorders. You will be working across medium secure wards for older adults, men, and women with different levels of acuity.

What you will do
  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication issues as well as swallowing disorders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Implement effective therapy programmes to support patients in achieving their speech and language goals.
  • Provide training and support to staff on communication strategies and dysphagia management.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Requirements
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Recent post-qualifying experience within the UK/NHS as a Speech and Language Therapist.
