Accounts Manager

TPF Recruitment are supporting an excellent chartered accountancy practice based in Southampton, who are looking for an Accounts Manager to join their experienced team across an accounts portfolio. Our client is an independent practice of chartered accountants.

As an Accounts Manager, you will work alongside other Managers and be responsible for a mixed client portfolio made up of sole traders, partnerships and Ltd companies. You will have the autonomy to manage your portfolio as you wish and you will also work closely with an experienced team of Managers and partners.

As an Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for;

Managing a varied client portfolio.

Statutory accounts preparation.

Preparation of income and expenditure accounts for clients as required.

Overseeing bookkeeping and organisation of accounting records.

Review and preparation and submission of VAT returns.

Preparation and submission of personal and corporate tax returns.

Provide excellent service to clients by supporting and answering queries.

Work closely with the senior management team, including supporting Partners with projects.

Contribute to the firm’s growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.

Requirements

ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 5 years experience within practice.

You will have worked as a Team Leader/ Client Manager/ Manager within a practice environment and have hands on experience of accounts, management accounts, tax and VAT.

Experience managing a portfolio of clients within a practice environment.

Experience reviewing work prepared by more junior members of staff.

Benefits

£50,000 - £55,000, based on experience and qualification

Hybrid working - 3 days in the office, 2 from home
