Accounts Manager
Brentwood
£50,000 - £62,000

A well-established and fast-growing, Top 20 accountancy firm is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join its growing team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a client portfolio, lead and develop a team, and play a key part in driving business growth and client excellence.

Role Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to deadlines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Review accounts and supporting files to ensure compliance with UK regulations and internal standards.
  • Provide proactive business advice and identify opportunities to add value to clients.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members to drive performance.
  • Improve efficiency and profitability through best practice and use of technology.
  • Support wider business planning and contribute to revenue growth initiatives.
  • Take ownership of client service delivery, ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.
Personal Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with a background in accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax compliance.
  • Proven experience managing client relationships and portfolios.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate a team.
  • Commercially aware with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ambitious, driven, and keen to progress towards a senior leadership role.
  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills.
