This is a Part Time or full-time position, Monday to Friday, with hybrid working options available.

Salary is up to £48,000 depending on experience/qualifications. Higher salaries can be discussed.

Overview:

This fantastic, well-established practice is seeking an experienced Accountant / Senior Accountant / Client Manager to join its growing team. This role will be split between audit and accounts assignments, giving you the balance to further enhance your skills. You will be part of a supportive team with clear career progression pathways and opportunities to build strong client relationships.

The Role:

This is a varied and hands-on position offering responsibility across statutory reporting, tax compliance, and client advisory work. You will act as a key point of contact for a portfolio of clients while contributing to quality, efficiency, and team development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and review of statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
  • Preparation and submission of corporation tax, personal tax, and VAT returns
  • Management of a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and individuals
  • Acting as day-to-day contact for clients, maintaining strong professional and trusted relationships
  • Identifying technical issues, risks, and opportunities to add value for clients
  • Prepare year-end accounts for a range of clients across multiple industries
  • Supervise and support junior staff, providing guidance and reviewing their work
  • Assist with business advisory and planning work where required
  • Liaise with partners on technical matters and present solutions to client queries

What we're looking for:

A successful candidate for this role will be a qualified ACA or ACCA professional with strong UK practice experience within a 1-hour commute. You should have prior involvement in both Accounts and portfolio Management.
