Assistant Management Accountant

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a market leading business who are going through a period of significant growth.

This is a pivotal role in the Finance team which will provide support with the accounts payable function and key processes including reporting, compliance and control activities.

Duties will include:

• Accounts receivable, including setting up new customer accounts, preparing sales invoices and chasing payments
• Assisting with the implementation of new processes and systems
• Support accounts payable
• Preparing monthly analysis, project reporting and forecasting
• Journal postings
• Assisting with the creation of the month end management accounts pack, including variance analysis
• Other ad hoc projects as required

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• A problem solver with the confidence to work using their initiative as well as part of a team
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly
• The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadline
• Excellent IT skills, highly proficient in the use of MS Office including Excel

Additional information:

• Fully office based in Southampton
• Travel to other sites is required (expenses paid for by the company)
