Bookkeeper

Our client is a growing e-commerce business, built on a strong B2B foundation and a passion for creating standout e-commerce brands. Over the years, they've grown into a business that specialises in developing successful online brands and importing high-quality products for retailers across multiple sectors. Duties:
* Own day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting in Xero, including purchase and sales ledgers, invoice processing, coding, supplier/customer queries and expenses management.
* Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and key balance sheet/control accounts, including trade finance facilities, foreign currency balances and related FX transactions, liaising with banks/providers where required.
* Own the month-end close, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, amortisation, fixed asset schedules and preparation through to trial balance.
* Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting, with variance analysis and concise commentary for review.
* Prepare weekly cash flow reporting and highlight key movements, variances and upcoming requirements.
* Run the payroll process, including reconciliations, journals and associated payments/records.
* Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, ensuring supporting reconciliations and records are complete.
* Support budgeting, forecasting and actual-versus-budget analysis. Benefits of this role:
