As a Qualified Accountant, you will:
Work alongside the Directors to help manage the practice on a day to day basis. Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Prepare and review corporation tax, income tax and partnership tax returns. Oversee and review bookkeeping, VAT returns and MTD submissions. Liaise directly with clients, handling queries promptly and professionally and building long-term relationships. Contribute to improving internal processes and maintaining a consistently high standard of client service.
This is a hands on role with genuine input into the practice, offering a strong work life balance. Our client is looking for someone who is:
Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years' experience in an accountancy practice. Experienced in general practice, working with a mixed portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Confident with tax compliance, including personal and corporate tax returns. Familiar with MTD requirements and cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, Quick Books, Sage). Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and prioritising workload within a part-time schedule.
Professional, approachable and able to build strong relationships with clients. Proactive and organised. Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and tax, with good IT skills and experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong attention to detail. What's on offer:
Salary in the region of £26,000 per annum , for 3 days a week negotiable dependent on experience and qualifications. Part-time, 3 days per week Fully office-based role, working closely with the Directors and wider team. Supportive working environment with direct access to the Directors.
