The role is a full-time position for an Accounts Assistant who will work within our Property Finance department, supporting the day-to-day finance function of a busy property management business. You'll be working across a portfolio of multiple clients, properties and funds, each with its own tenants, suppliers and reporting requirements. So, a key part of the role is making sure every invoice, payment and charge is logged correctly and that each client's account stays accurate.

• Receive and process supplier invoices and credit notes in Qube, coding each one to the correct client, property and fund within the portfolio; manually code anything the system hasn't auto-coded, and correct anything it has got wrong.
• Route invoices to property managers for approval via the system, and chase items that have been held too long to keep payment runs on schedule.
• Reconcile supplier statements against the ledger and resolve any queries or discrepancies suppliers raise.
• Set up ad hoc payments on the banking system and assist with the weekly payrun as directed by the Client Accountant.
• Maintain the supplier master file, including setting up new accounts and updating bank detail changes in line with fraud-prevention checks.
• Allocate receipts to the correct customer accounts and investigate unidentified or part-paid items using bank statements and remittance information.
• Assist with arrears. Reminders, statements and phone chasing, escalating in line with procedure when payments remain outstanding.
• Handle tenant and leaseholder account queries, explaining balances and charges clearly and professionally.
• Handle and process changes of tenancy following building sales, new lettings and purchases, keeping records up to date across the portfolio.
• Assist with tenant recharges, including calculating and applying charges such as insurance and electricity.

• Previous experience in an accounts role
• Previous experience in a property firm is preferred but not essential
• QUBE Global Software Experience
