We are recruiting for a hard-working, professional and enthusiastic Legal Secretary to join our clients busy Private Client team at their Southampton office. You’ll be supporting one experienced Fee Earner and working closely with two other Legal Secretaries in a collaborative department.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Producing and amending legal documents using track changes & comparison tools

* Preparing wills, LPAs, probate papers and other Private Client documentation (experience ideal)

* Diary management, scheduling meetings and organising appointments

* Preparing client bills and assisting with client reporting

* Maintaining files, drafting correspondence and general document management

* Handling confidential client enquiries sensitively — in person and by phone

* Providing strong audio typing and digital dictation support

* General administration including scanning, filing, bundling and updating systems

* Using Outlook, Word and Excel confidently;
Smart Forms experience beneficial (not essential)

What We’re Looking For

* Experienced Legal Secretary – must have Private Client experience

* Strong audio typing and dictation skills (fast and accurate)

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* A sensitive, empathetic approach when dealing with clients

* Strong organisational and time management abilities

* Confident in Microsoft Office; experience with Lexis Nexis Smart Forms is a bonus
